Dr. Siddharth Bhargava
Cataract and Glaucoma Surgeon
I specialize in glaucoma and complex cataract surgeries - but my true passion lies in patient education. My practice is built on a simple idea: empower patients with an understanding of their condition to make decisions with them rather than for them.
“I want every patient to leave their appointment better informed about their eye conditions than when they arrived.”
Siddharth Bhargava is a Board-certified, Fellowship-trained Ophthalmologist with expertise in glaucoma management, cataract surgery, premium intraocular lenses, and complex anterior segment care.
Dr. Bhargava grew up in the Bay Area and was fascinated by the high-tech environment of Silicon Valley. He was drawn to Ophthalmology after conducting Bioengineering research at UCLA that highlighted the importance of innovation in providing personalized and precise medical care. He returned to California in 2025 with his wife, Mansi, to be closer to their family and friends.
He has trained at institutions across the country and has consistently observed a profound lack of patient education at every stage of care. It is not infrequent that he encounters a patient treated for glaucoma for over ten years who doesn’t know what glaucoma is or why they are taking their drops. Thus, his approach to care is built on patient education: helping people understand not just what treatment is recommended, but why — and what to expect at every step.
From routine comprehensive eye care to complex glaucoma surgeries — every patient receives thoughtful, individualized treatment.
Evaluation and ongoing care for a wide range of eye conditions, from routine diabetes and macular degeneration annual exams to complex medical eye disease and long-term monitoring.
Screening, diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of glaucoma — including medications, laser procedures, micro-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and conventional glaucoma surgery when appropriate.
Comprehensive evaluation and counseling on cataract surgery timing, what to expect from the procedure, and ethically offers only intraocular lenses that he believes would be worth your time. He is fellowship trained in all FDA-approved MIGS procedures and uniquely positioned to offer the most personalized glaucoma surgery for your eyes at the same time as cataract surgery if both conditions are present.
In-depth discussions of advanced intraocular lens options based on each patient’s lifestyle, visual priorities, and eye health — with an honest review of tradeoffs and realistic recommendations.
Management of advanced anterior segment conditions such as intraocular lens repositioning, intraocular lens exchange, and iris reconstruction.
Close coordination with optometrists, primary care providers, and specialists to support patients with complex ocular or medical histories. He does not treat you only as a patient with an eye condition, but treats you holistically like a human being.
Dr. Bhargava created these guides to walk patients through what is actually happening in the eye, how a diagnosis is made, and what each treatment involves.
A cataract represents clouding of the eye’s natural lens. We will guide you through symptoms of cataracts, what surgery entails, and your options for the replacement lens.
Learn more about cataractsGlaucoma damages the optic nerve, often because fluid isn’t draining properly from the front of the eye. We will walk you through symptoms of glaucoma, what specialized testing can be done to catch it as early as possible, and treatment options.
